Party Theme/Idea: French style Breakfast for House Guests. Set the table for six with Yves Delorme Jacquard linens. Add flowers in candlesticks and have a decadent late breakfast.

Favorite Recipe: Brennan’s Brandy Milk Punch

Ingredients for one cocktail:
1 cup ice cubes
1 ½ ounce Napoleon brandy or bourbon
2 tablespoons simple syrup
½ cup half and half
¾ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Pinch of nutmeg

Preparations:
Combine all ingredients, except the nutmeg in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously, then pour into a chilled old-fashioned glass. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.

Brennan’s Cinnamon Toast

Ingredients:
¼ cup butter
2 small loaves of French bread (about 12” long)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon sugar

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Split the loaves in half length wise. Spread a tablespoon of butter on the inside of each split loaf of bread. Combine the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle the mixture over the butter.  Spread the pieces butter side up, on a baking sheet. Broil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm. Serves 6.

How-to Idea: Flowers in a candlestick

– Buy an o’daptor (oasis shaped to fit in a candlestick) from the florist or floral supply. 
– Soak the o’daptor, then add flowers to cover.
