

Party Theme/Idea: Pasta Party. Invite three couples over and cook pasta dishes with chicken and shrimp, salad and dessert. Hand paint aprons with names on them and let everyone cook a dish.

Favorite Recipe: Roasted Chicken with Pesto Cream over Pasta from Bacco
Ingredients:
1- 3 pound fryer chicken
½ cup pesto
1 quart heavy cream
¼ cup parmesan cheese
¼ cup Romano cheese
2 pounds angel hair pasta
Toasted pine nuts
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation:
Take the chicken and rinse off the outside and inside the cavity. Pat dry. Season the inside with salt and pepper, then put in a half of lemon and five cloves of garlic. Truss the chicken and roast at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. When done (should register 160 degrees) let cool, then pick meat (discarding the skin) into bite size pieces. In a large pot, place cream over medium heat. Reduce cream by quarter. While cream is reducing put on another large pot of salted boiling water to cook the pasta. To your cream, add the pesto and both cheeses and whisk until all the cheese is melted. Add in our picked chicken, and season with salt and pepper to taste. When the pasta is done, drain and return to the pot. Pour ¾ of the pesto sauce over pasta and toss. Place pasta in warm bowls and ladle remaining sauce over top. Garnish with toasted pine nuts and a nice floret of fresh basil leaves.
