Party Theme/Idea: Little girls flower bedecked birthday party. Celebrate out on the lawn, have lots of fun ideas for the girls to do – make frames, paper flowers, play lawn bowling and horseshoes, decorate cupcakes and favor boxes with flowers.

Favorite Recipe: World Famous Organic Banana Bread by Ford Church

Ingredients (organic preferred):
4 cups stone ground wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup salted butter
2 cups, raw unbleached cane sugar
4 eggs, hormone free, free-range
4 ripe free-trade bananas
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups milk, hormone free

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bread pans with butter. In a large mixing bowl, add dry ingredients. Then mash bananas and slowly add wet ingredients.  Mix thoroughly by hand and pour into greased bread pans. Bake for one hour or until knife can be inserted into center of loaf and comes out clean. Makes 2 loaves.

How-to Idea: Favor Boxes

– Take 4” x 4” x 4” white boxes and place a water soaked mini-deco holder (floral foam with self-adhesive base) on top.
– Add button pompoms to cover.
– Fill boxes with favorite toys (whistles, sidewalk chalk, flashing rings…).
