Favorite Recipe: Black and White Bow Tie Pasta Alfredo with Gulf Shrimp from Southern Hospitality Catering
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
¼ cup flour
4 cups heavy whipping cream
½ cup shredded Asiago cheese
1 Tbs. garlic, chopped
16 ounces fresh clack and white striped bowtie pasta (order) or plain white bowtie pasta
2 Tbs. olive oil
2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined (40 to 50 count)
Cracked pepper, to taste
Preparation:
Melt stick of butter in a medium saucepan and add flour. Cook on low constantly stirring for 5 to 10 minutes. Slowly add heavy whipping cream and bring to simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Add Asiago cheese and stir. Add garlic, salt and white pepper. Remove from heat and set aside, Boil pasta according to instructions, add olive oil, toss and set aside. In a large sauté pan, cook shrimp until done. Add alfredo sauce and toss in cooked pasta. Serve hot with cracked black pepper. Serves 8. |
